Marine Collagen and the richness of Amino Acids

The collagen used comes from fish. A recent study, J Agric Food Chem 55(4) 1532-1535 (2007), has shown that marine collagen is more easily absorbed than other sources of collagen, such as porcine collagen. Collmar® has a high percentage of glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, the main amino acids in collagen, and essential amino acids. Specific studies have shown that our collagen is the most easily absorbed by the body, as after undergoing the digestive process, smaller and therefore more easily absorbed peptides are obtained. Enzymatically Hydrolyzed

Collmar® Marine Collagen has undergone a unique enzymatic hydrolysis process, which consists of breaking down collagen into smaller molecules, called peptides, so that they are more easily absorbed by the body. The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) confirms in document EFSA-Q-2004-085 that hydrolysis is essential for collagen to be suitable for human consumption.

Enriched with Magnesium and Vitamin C

Collmar with Magnesium Lemon Flavor provides 100% of the Recommended Daily Allowance of these two nutrients. Magnesium and Vitamin C, in addition to their numerous properties, are related to protein synthesis. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation, for the normal function of cartilage, bones, and skin; and Magnesium contributes to normal protein synthesis.
