Marine Collagen and the richness of Amino Acids

The collagen used comes from fish. A recent study (J Agric Food Chem 55(4) 1532-1535 (2007)) has shown that marine collagen is more easily absorbed than other sources of collagen, such as porcine collagen. Collmar® has a high percentage of glycine, proline and hydroxyproline (the main amino acids in collagen) and essential amino acids.

Collmar® Marine Collagen has undergone a unique enzymatic hydrolysis process, which consists of breaking down collagen into smaller molecules, called peptides, so that they are more easily absorbed by the body.

Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C

Collmar® is enriched with hyaluronic acid, which comes from bacterial fermentation of Streptococcus zooepidemicus, and vitamin C. The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) recommends the consumption of vitamin C, as it contributes to collagen formation.

With Magnesium

The daily dose of 6 tablets provides 61% of the recommended daily value of magnesium. Magnesium is an essential mineral that, among other functions, contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and muscles , as well as normal protein synthesis.
