Contiene 100 billones de microorganismos, incluyendo 1.000 especies diferentes de bacterias.\nUn dato curioso: una parte de nuestra flora intestinal es com\u00fan a la mayor\u00eda de la gente, mientras que otra parte es espec\u00edfica en cada persona.\nLa dieta desempe\u00f1a un papel fundamental en el mantenimiento de la diversidad y el correcto funcionamiento de nuestra microbiota intestinal.\nLos prebi\u00f3ticos y los probi\u00f3ticos son dos de los componentes que aportan efectos beneficiosos para la flora intestinal, adem\u00e1s de influir en funciones del cuerpo como la digesti\u00f3n.\n\n\n<h2><u>Probi\u00f3ticos<\/u><\/h2>\n\n\nLos <strong>probi\u00f3ticos<\/strong> son definidos por la OMS como microorganismos vivos que al ser ingeridos en cantidades suficientes ejercen efectos ben\u00e9ficos sobre la salud de quien lo consume.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>\nAquellos que se incorporan en los alimentos, deben ser capaces de resistir el paso por el sistema digestivo y llegar al intestino.
