Nutrabasics - Bromelain
Bromelain is an enzyme extracted from the trunk of the pineapple, which is used for its proteolytic action, that is, for the digestion of proteins. Bromelain is not a single substance, but a collection of protein digestive enzymes also called proteolytic enzymes.

Nutrabasics. Whole elemental nutrition. The main base in the development of the line of Nutrabasic Plants of Drasanvi is the use of vegetable extracts of the best quality, and extraction processes that ensure the intensity and most efficient dosage, with maximum respect for all its natural properties. 1 or 2 daily dose is enough. We bet on standardized plant extracts, meaning extracts in which we ensure an adequate, uniform and constant amount of active ingredients. With this process we get highly efficient concentrations without the need of taking a large number of capsules. Our labeling enable you to know the dose taken, the amount of active ingredient and powered plant equivalency consumed per daily dose. The extraction methods are always respectful of the environment, a philosophy that we keep up in our FSC packaging (made from carboard from timber obtained from sustainably managed forests). Bromelain (Ananas comosus L.) Bromelain is an enzyme extracted from pinneapple juice and core. When Christopher Columbus arrived to Guadalupe Island found a tasty fruit, however what he did not know was how many properties it has. Nowadays biochemists have verified some of its properties when many of its active ingredients were isolated, among them bromelain is highlighted Bromelain is an enzyma able to hydrolise proteins, meaning that is a protease. That is the reason why its activity is measured in GDU, an enzymatic measurement. Our capsules have an activity of 2400 GDU/mg which means that 2400 mg of protein aminoacides are released per gram. It is extracted mainly from the core. It is dried, milled and mixed with water (this mixture is named “core juice”) To end this process, the enzyme is precipited and the water is removed, obtaining a fine, white powder.
Large amount of biological activity (GDU)
Our Bromelain capsules have a large amount of biological activity, therefore to obtein the same outcome a lower amount per daily dose is needed. Enzymatic activity is the rate at which different substances are degraded. In the case of our bromelain, it has an enzymatic activity of 2400 GDU/mg which means that 2400 mg of protein aminoacides are released per protein gram.
The capsules we use are vegetable-based, made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and have been certified by the Vegetarian Society. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is obtained from the cellulose found in various plant structures.
Free from allergens
We have ensured that our acerola capsules have not come into contact with the most common allergens, in particular with gluten.
Our Bromelain capsules come in blister packs: they protect the contents from any knocks as well as from environmental factors, ensuring that the product remains intact for as long as possible. This type of packaging is the best for protection against humidity and microbial contamination.
