Es una buena fuente de <strong>amino\u00e1cidos, de minerales y de vitaminas<\/strong>. En la medicina tradicional oriental, el Shiitake se utilza por sus beneficios sobre el <strong>sistema circulatorio<\/strong> pero tambi\u00e9n de forma com\u00fan para prevenir y atenuar los efectos de <strong>resfriados, procesos virales e incluso malestar de est\u00f3mago o dolores de cabeza<\/strong>. Es apreciada por su sabor y uso vers\u00e1til en la cocina, pero, tambi\u00e9n es una especie muy utilizada en la medicina tradicional oriental no s\u00f3lo, como por su acci\u00f3n estimulante sobre las defensas, sino tambi\u00e9n porque tiene unos hidratos de carbono que act\u00faan como fibra prebi\u00f3tica, estimulando el crecimiento de la flora bacteriana intestinal beneficiosa. Se trata, adem\u00e1s, de una seta muy rica en fibras y sin apenas calor\u00edas ni grasa.
