Cada vez que el coraz\u00f3n late, bombea sangre a los vasos, que la llevan a todas las partes del cuerpo. La tensi\u00f3n arterial es la fuerza que ejerce la sangre contra las paredes de los vasos, arterias, al ser bombeada por el coraz\u00f3n. Si la tensi\u00f3n est\u00e1 alta, m\u00e1s esfuerzo tiene que realizar el coraz\u00f3n para bombear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Se dice que existe hipertensi\u00f3n arterial cuando la tensi\u00f3n sist\u00f3lica, lo que llamamos habitualmente m\u00e1xima, supera los 140 mm Hg y la diast\u00f3lica, m\u00ednima, los 90 mm Hg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Existe una evoluci\u00f3n normal de la tensi\u00f3n en relaci\u00f3n con la edad, pudi\u00e9ndose considerar que a partir de los 50 a\u00f1os la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n presenta cifras algo elevadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque normalmente es asintom\u00e1tica puede dar la cara con dolor de cabeza, dificultad respiratoria, v\u00e9rtigos, dolor tor\u00e1cico, palpitaciones del coraz\u00f3n y hemorragias nasales, pero no siempre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Debemos tener en cuenta que una hipertensi\u00f3n mantenida durante mucho tiempo da\u00f1a \u00f3rganos vitales como son el coraz\u00f3n, los ri\u00f1ones y el cerebro. Por ello, es considerada junto el tabaquismo y la hipercolesterolemia un factor de riesgo en enfermedades cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00bfCu\u00e1les son las causas?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los factores gen\u00e9ticos juegan un papel muy importante, aunque hay otros muchos factores implicados como son la obesidad, el colesterol, la diabetes, el tabaquismo, el consumo de ciertos medicamentos como los anticonceptivos, el embarazo, el estr\u00e9s y, evidentemente, las alteraciones o abusos en nuestra alimentaci\u00f3n, entre los que incluiremos el consumo excesivo de sal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tipos de hipertensi\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Primaria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cuando se produce sin ninguna causa aparente m\u00e1s que los factores de los que habl\u00e1bamos anteriormente y representa aproximadamente el 90% de los casos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Secundaria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En este caso, la causa que lo provoca puede detectarse con claridad, siendo generalmente una patolog\u00eda renal, endocrina o vascular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Consejos\u00a0saludables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n<ul>\n\t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reducir el peso, \u00a0en caso de obesidad.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reducir o eliminar nuestro consumo de sal, no debemos olvidarnos que los alimentos por si solos aportan una cantidad variable de sal.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Realizar ejercicio f\u00edsico de forma moderada y regular para favorecer la funci\u00f3n cardiaca y vascular.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moderar el consumo de alcohol.<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Suprimir el tabaco.
